Furniture Removals in Birmingham

Need a single sofa shifted, a wardrobe delivered from a showroom, or a full lounge moved across the city? Our Birmingham furniture crews handle the heavy lifting so you do not have to.

01

Furniture Moves Done Properly

Furniture removals sit somewhere between a full house move and a quick courier delivery. The items are bigger than anything a regular delivery van will touch, but you do not need a four-person crew for a single bed frame. We have built a specific service around exactly this gap, with the right vans, the right kit and crews trained to lift safely without scuffing a single skirting board.

Every job is fully insured under our £10m Goods in Transit policy and our £5m Public Liability cover. Whether the item is worth £50 or £5,000, it travels with the same level of care and the same protection if something does go wrong.

We collect from showrooms, warehouses, IKEA car parks, private sellers on Facebook Marketplace, eBay or Gumtree, charity shops, auction houses and house clearances. If it is too big for a regular car and too small for a removals firm to take seriously, that is the work we love.

How Much Do Furniture Removals Cost in Birmingham?

Furniture moves are priced by the size of the item, the distance between collection and delivery, and the access at both ends. The table below shows realistic fixed-price ranges for the most common furniture jobs we handle across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Every quote is fixed before we set off. No hourly meter, no fuel surcharges, no awkward extras that appear on the invoice. If access is unusually difficult or the item is genuinely awkward, we will mention it at quoting stage and price accordingly.

What We Move

Sofas and armchairs. Two-seaters, three-seaters, corner units, recliner mechanisms, vintage chesterfields and modern modular units. We protective-wrap upholstery, lift carefully and never drag fabric across rough floors.

Beds, mattresses and wardrobes. Bed frames are dismantled and rebuilt at the destination at no extra charge. Mattresses are wrapped to keep them clean during transit. Large wardrobes are dismantled, panels carried in flat and reassembled in the new room.

Dining sets. Tables, chairs, dressers and sideboards. We can split a six-seater dining set across two trips if needed, or move the whole lot in one Luton run.

White goods. Fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and range cookers. We handle disconnection of standard plumbing where it is safe to do so, and reconnect at the new address.

Office furniture. Desks, chairs, filing cabinets, conference tables, server racks. Suited to home-office setups as well as small business relocations.

Marketplace pickups. Bought a bargain on eBay, Gumtree or Facebook? We collect from the seller and deliver to your door, with payment handled however you and the seller agree.

Showroom and Retailer Collections

Lots of Birmingham customers use us as their delivery option for furniture bought in person from stores like IKEA, DFS, John Lewis, Furniture Village and Wayfair's local clearance partners. Buying in store is usually cheaper than home delivery, but only if you can get the item home safely. That is where we step in.

We collect from the store car park, load with the right protection, transport to your home and bring the item in to the room of your choice. If the box is too tall to fit through the front door or up the stairs, our crew can unbox and carry the components separately, then put it together at the destination.

Same-day collection is often possible if you call before 10am. We handle showrooms at Star City, Selfridges at the Bullring, Resorts World, Touchwood Solihull, Merry Hill and the retail parks at Castle Bromwich and Oldbury.

05

Disassembly and Reassembly

Large furniture often will not fit through a doorway in one piece. Wardrobes, divan bed bases, sectional sofas and modular shelving units usually need to come apart for the move and go back together at the other end. We handle this as standard, with no extra charge.

Our crews carry the right Allen keys, screwdrivers, drills and labelled bags for keeping every fixing with the right piece. Flat-pack furniture that has been assembled once usually rebuilds without trouble, though we will always check for weakened joints and recommend any reinforcement.

If you have a particularly unusual piece such as an antique with hidden joinery, a glass-fronted display cabinet or a high-end designer item, mention it at quoting stage. We may bring an extra crew member or specialist tools to handle it properly.

06

Areas We Cover for Furniture Moves

We collect and deliver across the whole of Birmingham and the West Midlands. The most common runs are within the city: showroom pickups in the city centre dropped to Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley or Kings Heath, plus regular runs out to Sutton Coldfield, Solihull and the wider Black Country.

Further out, we cover Coventry, Wolverhampton, Walsall and Worcestershire on a daily basis. For furniture coming from further afield, such as a piece bought at auction in Cheshire or collected from a relative's house in London, our long-distance service gives you a fixed price for the whole journey.

FAQ

Got questions?

Everything you need to know about our furniture removalsservice in Birmingham. Still not sure? Give us a call, we're happy to chat.

Often yes, particularly if you call before lunchtime. We try to keep one or two slots in the diary each day for short-notice furniture jobs, and a single-sofa move usually takes under an hour from collection to delivery.

Yes. If you are replacing existing furniture, we can take the old item to the local recycling centre or arrange responsible disposal for an additional fee. Mention it when you book so we can allow time and any disposal charges in the quote.

No. Carrying items up and down stairs, including the narrow Victorian terraces and upper-floor flats around the city, is part of the standard service. There are no hidden surcharges.

We can usually reassemble flat-pack pieces that we have just disassembled for the move, as part of the standard service. Brand new flat-pack assembly from boxes is something we will quote for separately on the day depending on complexity.

Yes. IKEA same-day collection and delivery is one of our most popular furniture jobs. Buy in store, pay, and we will collect from the loading bay and bring it to your address, often within a couple of hours.

Most sofas can be carried through with the door taken off its hinges, or by removing the legs. For larger pieces our crews are trained to manoeuvre at unusual angles. In the rare case where a piece genuinely will not fit, we will tell you on the day before any forcing and discuss options.

Yes. Glass-topped tables, mirrored furniture and similar items are fully covered under our standard transit insurance. We wrap them with extra padding and carry them carefully.

Yes. We do this all the time. You arrange the purchase and payment directly with the seller, we collect from their address and deliver to yours. Send us the addresses and the item details and we will quote a fixed price.

Send us a photo on WhatsApp at 0738 515 0381 and we can usually estimate from the picture. For showroom items, the model name is enough to look up the dimensions.

We accept bank transfer, debit or credit card, or cash on the day. Payment is taken once the item has been delivered safely, never up front.
